Where have all the good men gone?

Well, I'm in England hence the lack of blogging over the last few days. I have had a great time speaking and connecting with people at Thurrock Christian Fellowship. In many ways it has been strange, this was the church I grew up in then backslid from when I was young. It was a full on charismatic church with a great youth group. I went along because the youth group had loads of pretty single girls, it was a rich vein that someone needed to mine. I don't understand why more men don't become christians just for the totty. It must be about 3 to 1 in favour of the girls in most churches, were have all he good christian men gone?

TCF was the first church were I ever put my hands up in worship, it was a big thing at the time verynerve wracking. I bypassed my nerves one Sunday by drinking loads of beer before the afternoon service this really helped and I found it so much easier to express my surrender to Christ. After this great charismatic moment I went out into the church toilets and threw up all over the floor. Russell who now leads the church was my youth leader, he cleaned it all up. I looked in the toilets this week whilst I was back and they still have the same tiles on the floor.

I must have been difficult to have in a youth group, I remember going out one night for a youth group social and my big brother shouted abuse at some guy on the street, the guy thought it was me, got very angry and chased me. I ran because he was big and deep down I don't like confrontation but eventualy he cornered me. He then pulled out a knife! all I can remember was Russell my youth leader saying, "listen mate that's not going to get you anywhere."

Anyway I backed into a wall and he stabbed me in the head. Thankfully it wasn't to big a deal he got a bit freaked out by what he had done and ran off, I only had a minor penetration of the temple! The wound bled well and helped get the sympathy vote with the ladies!
