We used to sing this hymn in Castlereagh Baptist Church when I was young, I was listening to it this morning. I have an appeal to the world of christian bloggers, lets not forget about Jesus.

I love Jesus, yes, I am in love with a man, no love is wider, no love is deeper, no love is higher, no love is truer, no love is like His love.

This song sums up in part what I think of when I think of Jesus, take a minute today to think about Jesus, forget the leadership stuff, the church stuff, the relational stuff, the things we want to change, the concerns we want to raise and just meditate on Him. I feel touched by his love today.

This song sums it up

Here is love, vast as the ocean,
Lovingkindness as the flood,
When the Prince of Life, our Ransom,
Shed for us His precious blood.
Who His love will not remember?
Who can cease to sing His praise?
He can never be forgotten,
Throughout Heav’n’s eternal days.

On the mount of crucifixion,
Fountains opened deep and wide;
Through the floodgates of God’s mercy
Flowed a vast and gracious tide.
Grace and love, like mighty rivers,
Poured incessant from above,
And Heav’n’s peace and perfect justice
Kissed a guilty world in love.

Let me all Thy love accepting,
Love Thee, ever all my days;
Let me seek Thy kingdom only
And my life be to Thy praise;
Thou alone shalt be my glory,
Nothing in the world I see.
Thou hast cleansed and sanctified me,
Thou Thyself hast set me free.

In Thy truth Thou dost direct me
By Thy Spirit through Thy Word;
And Thy grace my need is meeting,
As I trust in Thee, my Lord.
Of Thy fullness Thou art pouring
Thy great love and power on me,
Without measure, full and boundless,
Drawing out my heart to Thee.

Thanks so much for this today. I am a sucker for old hymns as it is, but as I was reading the post the United track 'take all of me' came on my wee shuffle.
Just had a great moment of blocking work out and allowing the love of the great big God we serve to saturate me. As the song says.. "I love you, all of my hope is in you. Jesus Christ take my life, take all of me." Amen...
