Update

Sorry for the lack of blogging. Life is busy.

With the internet drop in open 6 days a week for 4 hours we are getting between 9 - 12 people drop in every day, different people, which is so cool. They are all workers and love it.

We have given away loads of bibles and people have been very appreciative of the welcome packs, they love the tea bags, condoms and all the other stuff. It has proved to be a winner. Some one actually approached us last night and asked us for a "groovy bible" everyone really likes them and they think they will get read.

In the last few days we have prayed for over 20 people, which has been great. We continue to have loads of excellent conversations. Some of our guys have been invited to play poker on Monday nights, so they have been going for the last 3 weeks. Relationship is the key, poker and friendship, I am going next week, can't wait.

The wagon has been superb, over 10 different people taken home in less than 10 days. One vommitter and one wet their self. I am thinking about giving these people codes. Sick is a level 6, urine level 7, blood level 8.

We also have Ian Nicholson here for 3 days, he is in charge of 24-7 missions, he is here to encourage and spend time with all the people on the team.

Plus today is sports day at the school and it's been 30 degrees for 4 days, my world is covered in sweat.....

What a great read, that's fantastic news.

I would like to know if level 5 is sweat and what levels 9 and 10 would be?

ahh ... i new that poker playing trip to spain would come in handy sometime.

I can't believe you told everyone that it was a "retreat" to meet with other leaders though....

Yeah, I'm with Tanya, I want to know what would come after sick, pee and blood? Or maybe I don't...

Thanks for the book, I only got it off Al yesterday... and for the other thing, nice to feel appreciated ;-) You're a star too!

Brian - great stuff, sounds like it is going really well with the new wagon!

Quick question - and I ask this with no answer myself and therefore no judgement - and it's about the poker? Do folks reckon that poker is a good Christian witness? Is it bad to play poker? Is there community and relationship in it? Could you have a poker ministry? I know of a cell group who hold regular poker nights.

Like I say, I have no opinion on the right/wrongs of it. Just interested.

Keep up the fab work out there!

Poker? great stuff! we had a poker/prayer room out the back of a shop and it was a great way to get to know people and have a laugh. One of my life rules is never bet on an inside straight (another is dont go drinking with an Irishman but thats another story)x
