How many words is an average book? Been trying to work it out, I have started my first chapter so this weekend I have completed 3000 words, probably needs a bit more padding, I've decided I'll do 3 chapters and then see if anyone thinks there is mileage in it.

Started with how we ended up here, then Journey, then My Way, we'll take it from there, thanks for all your comments and ideas. I am thinking, needs a good beginning, just write and it will order itself. Steve you can write a foreword!!!

My problem is I want to be really honest, I want to write about drinking and smoking and other little issues I have. Well it's not really a problem I just don't want to sanitize it.

I don't know if I can handle vulnerabating in public......but then I already do on this blog.

Tracy has been in England all weekend, her and the boys get back tonight it's funny when she went on Friday I thought I would get loads of sleep but I haven't slept well at all.

I re-watched "The Killing Fields" last night, what a powerful story.

Vulnerabating is a most excellent word. I hope wikkipedia credits it to you.

Well done Brian, 3000 words is a great start in such a short time.

I think a novella is 50,000 words, anything above that is classed as a novel.

When I write, I draft, draft and re-draft, that way it takes the pressure of trying to making it perfect from the start and it also helps to build the book gradually.

I love the killing fields, someone said to me a little while ago, the soundtrack is cheesy. I love it, Nessun Dorma and Imagine.
