I haven't been able to sleep I didn't get to drop off till about 1.30am then Tracy came back from the streets at 5.30am and I woke up, I was lying in bed with loads of stuff knocking around for at least half an hour, so I've got up and come down to blog.
I am actually lying here just like homer in the picture, by the way I really enjoyed the simpsons movie.
I like this time of day, it's just getting bright I can hear the traffic starting to get busier, my dog is lying on the patio snoring. He caught a seagull last week, but it got away, probably because it was bigger than him.
Tracy told me that she was out on the street last night and a couple of them helped a guy get up who had fallen over. He then looked at them and said "have you come to save my soul" when they asked him what he meant, he said that he had a friend who was christian and that the girls looked like him!!!They hadn't mentioned christianity or anything like that. God in us.
Our 3rd team leave on Friday, out of the 31 people we have had on teams only 7 have been boys, whats that all about then?
Why are there more women than men in church? I feel sorry for you ladies who go to church there just doesn't seem to be enough men to go around. Now if you are a single man in church your luck should be in. Thats of course on less you are looking for a mother not a wife! which I think is what a few guys are looking for.
I could go on but like homer, I can feel sleep coming on, which is all good....

Mark Driscoll mentioned this (the fact that there are more women than men in the church) and what he thinks we need to do about it in his famous "banned" church planting video. Check it out. He's a cool dude but knows how to stir the pot and wind people up. You never know, perhaps he is descended from folks in Norn Iron.
