Beards

Thought I would give you a little update on what I am getting up to over the winter just so you know i am not sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

First I am growing my hair and a beard! (the hair has a way to go) also I have been walking everyday and doing a few weights, which is going well, slowly I am starting to feel the benefits.

I am no longer president of the parents association but still involved with it, I have also been asked to do some personal and social development classes at the school.

I am helping out with the 24-7 prayer international website posting articles and editing a few others which is fun, we have our most recent Ibiza update on there at the moment check it out: www.24-7prayer.com

I continue to help with directing 24-7 Ireland although this isn't very time consuming, just phone calls and emails with the occasional visit, praying, supporting and championing all that goes on there.

We are already preparing for next years summer teams, with applications already in from a number of organisations.

As a community we meet to pray for an hour 5 times a week, we have a work day all day on Tuesday, and we eat together and have our gathering on Sunday, we are going to start reading a book together, we are prayer walking once a month and running a 24-1 once a month (there are only 5 of us).

I continue to be a father and husband, which is fun, and also have friends that I need to spend time with and a community that needs leading.

I am just getting involved in starting a 24-7prayer CD compilations, creating compilations to inspire and aid people in prayer.

I am also committed to raising £60,000 for 24-7prayer international over the next few months, which is challenging, if anyone has a spare 60 grand they could make my life a little easier!!!

I am attempting to write a book and involved on the international leadership team of 24-7prayer. All in all you can see that this will keep me very active during the winter months, it's all very manageable.

Finally the biggest burden that I am carrying right now is the need for more people to come and join us permanently here on the island. This a biggy, we need a permanent team of about 8 people to effectively run what we do in the summer but also to build a permanent community, if you have a hunch about anyone let me know?

lets go back to the beard. i can't figure out if it's more grey or more ginger? it's quite a full beard and makes you look like you're in "full time christian ministry" ha.

Funnily enough I'm growing my hair and a beard at the moment too, but considering I am a lot greyer and may be slightly more cuddly, I am hoping that by Christmas I will look like Santa.
