We have Pete and Samie Greig staying with us for a couple of days, which is really lovely. It's great just to hang out with friends, tell stories and relax. We are going to take them out on the westend with us tonight.

You can sometimes feel pressure when you take visitors out in the west end, you can end up hoping that it is a good night. Because what you get on my blog is the highlights of an evening we can sometimes just wander around and nothing happens, people are busy and everyone is sober! Well sort of sober...

It also happens when you have short term teams, but I generally think that as a permanent team we are over this. We don't stress if we have a quiet night, actually sometimes it's a relief, last night was the first since Saturday that we didn't get a call or weren't out until 5 ish am. I might get some multi vitamins, surely living off this much coffee can't be good for me.

It's early in the season but we are as busy as we were in the middle of the season as last year, we really need to make sure as a team that we live a sustainable life style.

Obviously with Tracy and myself we have the added complication of two great sons, who have to get up at 7.am and be taken to school. This will only be for the next 4 weeks but it makes this time particularly tiring.

Anyway, everyones still in bed I have done the shool run, had a coffee with a friend and swept the porch, it's 10am and already 24 degrees.

Hi Brian, you don't know me but I have been occassionally reading your blog. I was introduced to it via Alain Emerson/ Davy Wiggins blogs and also Alain speaks very highly of you. I go to Emmanuel and I am also treasurer of the mission "HOPE" that Dave works for. I was reading your blog today and was so moved by the work you are doing in Ibiza, you don't know how many lives you are saving physically and spiritually. Young people need you their and even though they are out of their heads with drink and drugs God can bring back to their minds things you have said and your acts of kindness. I have spoken to Andrew Loney and we at Hope want to make a donation to your "people carrier" appeal - feel so honoured that we can sow into good ground. Keep doing what you are doing - you are so necessary in Ibiza, God Bless, Lenny Adamson

Too much coffee probably isn't good for you and that's why John and I are sending you some Earl Grey tea and Chicken oxo cubes with Diane, (although I don't think drinking oxo would be good either).

I recommend Rooibos tea - fair trade, if you can get it - or some other spiced teas. I need them to keep me awake at work!!

God be with you as you walk & talk (vertically as well as horizontally). As per U2: its "love and only love" that is the heartbeat. Any other "performance measures" are irrelevant.

Brian – Sounds like you have some great visitors in town with Pete and his wife. There is something precious about those whom we have a history with in God. I relish those relationships that I have had meaningful experiences in evangelism, prayer, discipleship, and the like.

Regarding coffee, I myself am not a coffee drinker. When Aneta and I are with new friends, they’ll ask if I want some coffee and I’ll reply, “No thanks, I’m doing the Nazirite vow.” Most people are clueless as to what this is so they kind of look at me with healthy skepticism, saying something like, “Yeah, wow…that’s cool man.” But Aneta is quick to jump in to tell them not to listen to me! Of course I explain what it really is! (Numbers 6)

Keep up the awesome work!
