Well the last few days have been uber stressful, but I have had to get a grip and get life into perspective, we have food, housing, health, friends and family. There are people in the world struggling with a lot more than cash flow issues.
Firstly why would we need the money, isn't 24-7prayer a large international movement? Well Yes and No all 24-7 local initiatives are self funded, we rely on the kindness of individuals and churches to enable this project to work. Our guaranteed support levels are low for the project but with one off gifts and various bits and bobs we always break even.
Secondly, a huge thank you to all who have pressed the donate button, phoned us to check we are okay and even offered to take out bank loans or lend us your personal savings to get this money raised. Your willingness to help has been overwhelming.
Thirdly, we have friends in the UK who have faith in us (and God!) who have agreed to lend us all the money we need interest free, the money is being transferred and all systems are go. This is fantastic!!!!!!!! We are confident that we will pay it back over the next year. The landlord has been very kind and given us some grace with the time we have to pay.
I guess this whole process has made us very aware of how big a jump it is that we are making with regards to financing the project. It is stretching us. The reality is we need the cash to flow. We still need to raise in excess of 12,000 euros.
We know that we are not alone in any of this but just occasionaly feel at the sharp end of the pressure.
Just to say we have also had Jude and Chris from N.Ireland helping us paint the building, it looks lovely and they have been stars. We also had the unexpected pleasure of Ben and Chris coming from Guildford on Monday to build an internal wall and hang a door to create a prayer space, they have finished today and are now on a flight back home. They spent about 3 hours outside the whole time they were here, we couldn't have done it without them.
So yes we've been stressed but we have felt very supported, I wish I was a girl then I could just go up in my room and have a cry and feel better. But hey ho! I enjoy being a man.
Thank you one and all.

just to say that I have been reading this blog for about 6 weeks and really enjoying it. You were at my cousin's 40th Birthday party at the beginning of February. I didn't speak to you there, but I looked up your blog via the CFC site later.
Good stuff.
Chris

As for crying, we all know who does that alot, and besides, Jesus wept too, so it's not just for girls.
